THE SCENT

Roman chamomile opens it - herbal, warm, and slightly apple-like in a way you don't expect. Vetiver deepens underneath into something earthy and complex. Neroli lifts both of them into something soft and distinctly beautiful - floral from bitter orange blossom. A deeper, more unusual sleep scent than anything lavender-based.

HOW TO USE

Apply 30-60 minutes before bed to pulse points - wrists, neck, behind the ears, soles of feet. Roll onto the soles of your feet for a gentler, more diffuse delivery if the scent is strong for you.

Breathe in slowly a few times after applying - the inhalation is as important as the topical application.

Use consistently. Roman chamomile and vetiver both work better with regular use than occasional.

how sleep tight works

Everything Nighty Night does, without a drop of lavender. For people who are sensitive to lavender, can't stand the smell of it, or just want something different.

1

ROMAN CHAMOMILE IS THE LEAD

Often overshadowed by its tea-form sibling, Roman chamomile essential oil is one of the most potent sleep aids in aromatherapy. Isobutyl angelate (its primary active compound - has strong sedative properties and works quickly. It's the heaviest single oil in the blend for a reason.

2

VETIVER GROUNDS AND DEEPENS

Vetiver's complex, earthy scent acts as an anchor for the blend and has studied effects on the nervous system, specifically its ability to calm and slow the nervous response. It also has a measurable effect on breathing rate, which is one of the physical pathways to sleep onset.

3

NEROLI ADDS THE SOFTNESS

Distilled from bitter orange blossom, neroli has its own calming and antidepressant properties and is the note that makes Sleep Tight genuinely beautiful to wear. It counterbalances the depth of vetiver and chamomile and gives the blend its softness and lift.

4

THE COMBINATION IS STRONGER THAN THE SUM

Roman chamomile, vetiver, and neroli together cover sedation, nervous system calming, and emotional settling - three different pathways to sleep onset. The blend is more layered and arguably more effective than a single-oil lavender approach.

why sleep tight?

  • For the Mind

  • For the Senses

Roman Chamomile

Contains isobutyl angelate - a compound with documented strong sedative properties. One of the most potent sleep oils in aromatherapy and considerably underused compared to lavender.

Vetiver

Earthy, grounding, and studied for its calming effects on the nervous system. Has a measurable effect on breathing rate, which is a direct physiological pathway toward sleep onset.

Neroli

Distilled from bitter orange blossom. Has studied calming and antidepressant properties that add emotional settling to the blend alongside the more direct sedative action of chamomile and vetiver.

The Opening

Roman chamomile, warm, herbal, and slightly sweet with an almost apple-like quality that's unexpected and genuinely lovely. Not what most people expect from a sleep blend.

The Heart

Vetiver grounds everything, it's deep, earthy, and complex. The most distinctive note in the blend and the one that makes Sleep Tight smell unlike anything lavender-based.

The Finish

Neroli lifts the whole blend into something soft and beautiful - the brightness of orange blossom against the depth of vetiver.

frequently asked questions

Q: Does it work as well as Nighty Night if I'm not lavender-sensitive?

A: Yes, Roman chamomile is arguably the more potent sedative oil of the two lead ingredients. Sleep Tight isn't a compromise for lavender-sensitive people; it's a genuinely strong sleep blend that happens not to contain lavender. Some people prefer it regardless.

Q: What does it smell like compared to Nighty Night?

A: Very different. Nighty Night is soft and floral with lavender at its centre. Sleep Tight is deeper and more complex - earthy vetiver and warm chamomile lifted by neroli's orange blossom. If you want something that smells unusual and interesting rather than familiar and soft, Sleep Tight is the better choice.

Q: Where do I apply it?

A: Wrists, neck, behind the ears, and the soles of your feet. Pulse points deliver warmth that releases the scent gradually. The soles of your feet are a good choice if you find the scent too strong when applied closer to your face.

Q: Can I alternate between Sleep Tight and Nighty Night?

A: Yes, some people keep both and rotate. They cover the same function via different scent profiles and slightly different aromatic mechanisms. There's no issue using them on alternate nights.
