SCENT NOTES

  • Top — Jasmine Absolute
  • Heart — Sandalwood, Ambrette Seed CO₂, Cedarwood
  • Base — Vanilla Absolute, Patchouli, Benzoin

HOW TO USE

Roll directly onto pulse points, wrists, inner elbows, neck, and décolletage. Velvet is warm and skin-close. Let it settle for 10–15 minutes. The jasmine softens considerably as it warms. Apply over unscented body oil for a deeper, longer-lasting scent experience. Suitable for day or evening wear, the warmth of the base makes it feel elevated without being heavy. Reapply as often as you like. There's nothing in here that makes 'too much' a concern.

how velvet works on your skin

Warm, rich, and completely transparent about what's in it. This is what fragrance actually smells like when it's made from the real ingredients.

1

JASMINE OPENS THE BLEND

Jasmine absolute hits first, lush, unmistakably floral without being powdery or sharp. It's present and warm from the first drop. Don't let it intimidate you, it softens beautifully as it warms on skin.

2

THE HEART BRINGS THE WARMTH

Sandalwood, ambrette seed CO₂, and cedarwood atlas come forward together. Sandalwood is creamy and woody; ambrette seed is the skin-like natural musk that makes this feel personal rather than perfumey. This is the part that makes people lean closer.

3

THE BASE SETTLES AND STAYS

Vanilla absolute, patchouli, and benzoin are your slow, rich anchor. Not sweet, warm. Not heavy, deep. The kind of scent that stays on skin and gets better as it goes.

4

IT BECOMES YOURS

No two people wear Velvet exactly the same way. The ambrette seed musk interacts with your skin's chemistry, the warmth of your body shifts what you smell. It stops being a product and starts being a signature.

why silk?

  • For the Skin

  • For the Senses

Fractionated Coconut Carrier

Ultra-lightweight and odourless, fractionated coconut oil absorbs quickly without residue. It delivers the botanical blend directly into skin with no heavy feeling.

Vitamin E (Tocopherol)

Natural antioxidant that supports skin health and protects the integrity of every botanical oil in the blend.

Alcohol-Free Formula

No stripping. No drying. Nothing that leaves skin feeling worse after you've applied it.

Jasmine Absolute: The Real Thing

Jasmine absolute takes approximately 8,000 hand-picked flowers per gram to produce. What you smell in Velvet isn't a synthetic approximation, it's genuine jasmine. You can tell the difference.

A Scent That Evolves

True sandalwood oil is creamy, warm, and skin-close in a way that no synthetic substitute fully replicates. It's the ingredient that gives Velvet its 'expensive' quality.

Ambrette: The Musk That Adapts

Ambrette seed CO₂ is a natural musk that responds to your skin's chemistry. It makes Velvet smell personal, like it was made for you specifically, not mass-produced for everyone.

frequently asked questions

Q: How is Velvet different from regular perfume?

A: Conventional perfumes use alcohol as the base and synthetic fragrance as the scent. Velvet uses fractionated coconut oil and genuine botanical ingredients: sandalwood, jasmine absolute, vanilla absolute. Every ingredient is named. Nothing is hidden behind the word 'fragrance.'

Q: How long does the scent last?

A: Oil-based scents are skin-close rather than projecting, but they last. Most people find Velvet holds well for 3–5 hours at pulse points. Apply over unscented body oil first for even longer wear.

Q: Does Velvet smell like patchouli? I'm not a patchouli person.

A: At the concentration used in Velvet, patchouli reads as warm and earthy rather than heavy or overpowering. The sandalwood, vanilla, and jasmine are the dominant notes. Patchouli is part of the base's richness, not the headline. If you love warm, sophisticated scents, Velvet will work for you.

Q: I have sensitive skin. Is this okay for me?

A: Velvet is free of synthetic fragrance, alcohol, and unnecessary fillers. We always recommend a patch test before first use. The full ingredient list is above if you want to check for any personal sensitivities.

Q: Can I use this during pregnancy?

A: Some essential oils aren't recommended during pregnancy. Please check with your healthcare provider before using any new scent product while pregnant, particularly products containing jasmine and patchouli.

Q: How do I apply it?

A: Roll onto pulse points: wrists, inner elbows, base of throat, décolletage. Let it absorb rather than rubbing. The warmth of your skin naturally opens the scent.

Q: How long does a bottle last?

A: It really depends on how often it is used, but best used within 12 months.
