THE SCENT

Clary sage opens it - herbal, slightly floral, and distinctively its own thing. Sandalwood deepens it into something warm and settled. Bergamot lifts both into a forward-moving brightness that makes Full Moon feel like the moment after, not the moment during. An unusual and genuinely beautiful combination.

HOW TO USE

Roll onto wrists, inner elbows, and the base of the throat. Apply during transitions - end of the work day, before or after a difficult conversation, at any point where you want to mark a shift from one thing to another. Use in the evening as a wind-down that's more releasing than sleep-focused. Breathe in slowly after applying and let the scent work with the intention of letting something go.

how full moon works

For the feeling of setting something down. Clary sage for emotional release, sandalwood for presence, bergamot for the lightness that comes after.

1

CLARY SAGE FOR EMOTIONAL RELEASE

One of the few oils with clinical data specifically on reducing feelings of tension and emotional holding. Clary sage is studied for cortisol reduction and its ability to promote a sense of release and relief.

2

SANDALWOOD FOR PRESENCE

Santalol compounds in sandalwood have been studied for anxiolytic and grounding properties. It's been used for centuries in contemplative contexts for its ability to bring you into the moment rather than leaving you stuck in your head - and the research is starting to explain why it works.

3

BERGAMOT FOR FORWARD MOVEMENT

After the emotional weight of clary sage and the settling depth of sandalwood, bergamot provides the optimistic brightness that makes Full Moon feel like moving forward rather than just releasing. The most clinically studied oil for mood elevation in the range.

4

TOGETHER - THE FEELING OF PUTTING IT DOWN

Release, presence, and brightness, in that order. A blend designed for the emotional transition of letting something go, settling into where you are, and finding the lightness that follows.

why full moon?

  • For the Mind

  • For the Senses

Clary Sage

Clinical data on cortisol reduction and emotional release - one of the few oils studied specifically for the feeling of tension relief. Also documented for hormonal balancing properties, particularly around menstrual cycles and hormonal shifts.

Sandalwood

Santalol compounds have documented anxiolytic and grounding properties. Used for contemplative presence across many traditions - and studied for its ability to promote a calm, in-the-moment state rather than anxious rumination.

Bergamot

The most clinically studied oil for mood elevation. Stimulates serotonin and dopamine and provides the forward-moving brightness that gives Full Moon its sense of relief and lightness after release.

The Opening

Clary sage - herbal, slightly honeyed, and distinctively its own thing. Not what people expect but immediately recognisable as something unusual and purposeful.

The Heart

Sandalwood settles the blend into something warm, woody, and quietly present. The note that keeps you in the moment rather than sending you somewhere else.

The Finish

Bergamot lifts and brightens - forward-moving and optimistic. The combination of sandalwood's depth and bergamot's lift is what makes Full Moon feel emotionally complete.

frequently asked questions

Q: Why is it called Full Moon if it's not a wellness or spiritual product?

A: Honestly, because the name fits the feeling - the full moon is traditionally associated with release, completion, and transition. The blend is built around oils that have documented releasing and clarifying effects: clary sage for cortisol reduction and emotional relief, sandalwood for presence, and bergamot for the forward movement after. The name is the interpretation; the ingredients are the mechanism. But we loved to use it on the Full Moon for a meditation.

Q: Is clary sage safe for everyone?

A: Not during pregnancy. Clary sage has uterine-stimulating properties and should be avoided. Also worth noting if you're on oestrogen-based medication, check with your healthcare provider first. For everyone else, it's safe for regular topical use at the dilution used here.

Q: Can I use this for PMS or hormonal mood shifts?

A: Yes, clary sage has specific documented effects on hormonal balance, particularly around oestrogen and cortisol during the menstrual cycle.

Q: How often should I use it?

A: On the Full Moon or as often as you feel the need for emotional release or transition. There's no upper limit - it's a topical oil at a safe dilution.
